A trick I always learned was to put a decimal one place over.
So 92 millimeters equals 9.2 centimeters.
So if I wanted to find how many centimeters 43 millimeters equals just add a decimal to the front and move it one place to the right. So, 43 millimeters equals 4.3 centimeters.
