When u take the cubic root of 8 the answer will be 2. which means in this case, you have only one possible answer. However, taking in account the following example.
[tex] x^3=8[/tex]
[tex] \sqrt[3]{x^3} =\sqrt[3][8][/tex]
[tex] x_{1} =2, x_{2}=2, and x_{3}=2[/tex]
which means there are 3 answers for x but all lies at the same point.
