Bauhaus,
meaning “School of Building”, had the goal of bringing together all forms of
art.
First founded in Weimar, Germany, by Walter Gropius in 1919, the school was a
focal point for all the innovative art movements of the time. Thanks to its
refreshing and inclusive approach to all the arts, the Bauhaus helped develop
modern styles such as the International Style in the US.
