Sub (1) into (2)
-21(-12+y) + 12y = -9
252 - 21y + 12y = -9
-21y + 12y = -9 - 252
-9y = -261
y = 29 -- sub into (1)
x = -12 + 29
x = 17

Ans: x = 17, y= 29
