HIPAA is the health insurance portability accountability act that was passed in 1996 to provide data privacy and security for the purpose of safeguarding medical information in health care sector. It outlines several rights such as right to health information among others shown, however, its does not provide the right to receive notification whenever changes/edits are made to the record.
