The Yahoos live in the Country of the Houyhnhnms (the country of intelligent horses).
The Yahoos are humanoid, meaning that they resemble humans slightly, even though they are not humans - they are animals. Covered in thick hair, standing on their hind feet, they do look somewhat like humans, but Gulliver says that he doesn't see the connection.
