2(2x-10)=x-8
4x-20=x-8
3x=12
x=4

2*y= x - 8, y= 2x - 10

2* (2x-10)= x - 8
2*2x - 2*10= x - 8
 4x - 20= x - 8     | +20
4x  =  x + 20 - 8 = x + 12     | - x
4x - x = 12
3x = 12
x= 12:3
x= 4

y= 2*4 - 10
y= 8 - 10
y= - 2
