Hey there,

Question : How to solve for x 5x-8=18+4,for x=6

Answer :
5x - 8 = 18 + 4
5(6) - 8 = 18 + 4
30 - 8 = 18 + 4
22   = 22
Thus we can say that 6x = 30
6x = 30 
x = 30 / 6
   = 5
