Yes, a person's ability to recover from or adapt to difficult times and is a key aspect to thriving. If a person does not have this ability, they will remain very affected by the pain that they experienced. The only way to truly thrive after experiencing trauma is to try and let go and/or move on. If you don't, you may remain stuck in the past and it will become harder to enjoy the present and the future.
