45 - 56 = -11 (This means that it goes down by 11 each time)

Then you can do: 23 - 11 = 12
Then: 12 - 11 to get 1

So the next two items are 12, 1

56-45 = 11

45-34 = 11

 so each number is 11 less than the previous one

 so next number would be 23-11 = 12
