Some of the solutions exhibit colligative properties. These properties depend on the amount of solute dissolved in a solvent. These properties include freezing point depression, boiling point elevation, osmotic pressure and vapor pressure lowering. For boiling point elevation, we calculate as follows:

ΔT(boiling point)  = (Kb)m

ΔT(boiling point)   = 0.51 (3.60)

ΔT(boiling point)   = 1.836 °C
T = 100 + 1.836 = 101.836 °C
