If 5 cost 40, then we should just see what 1 costs. To do that, we split 40 into 5 equal parts, or 40/5. That equals 8. So one biscuit costs 8. We then multiply that by three for 3 biscuits, and come up with the equation 8x3, which equals 24. Your answer would be 24.
