By the Pythagorean Theorem:

h^2=x^2+y^2  where h is the hypotenuse and x and y are the leg lengths.

4^2=3^2+x^2

16=9+x^2

x^2=7

x=√7

Hypotenuse = 4 m
Leg1 = 3 m
By Pythagorean Theorem,

(Hypotenuse)^2 = (Leg1)^2 + (Leg2)^2

4^2 = 3^2 + (Leg2)^2

16 = 9 + (Leg2)^2
16 - 9 = (Leg2)^2
7 = (Leg2)^2
sqrt(7) meters = Leg2

Answer is F
