[tex]\frac{4}{6} = \frac{12}{18}[/tex]
[tex]\frac{2}{9} =\frac{4}{18}[/tex]
[tex]\frac{12}{18}-\frac{4}{18} = \frac{12-4}{18} = \frac{8}{18} [/tex]
[tex]\frac{8}{18} = \frac{4}{9} = \frac{16}{36}=\frac{24}{54}[/tex]

You need to convert one or both of them so that the denominator is equal. The LCM of 6 and 9 is 18, so 4/6=12/18 and 2/9=4/18. 12/18-4/18=8/18.
All the possible answers are 4/9 and 8/18
