Bartlett made a point that the British forces were "scandalously unprepared" for the unexpected war whereas the Czechoslovakian forces were prepared and able to defend their country. Bartlett believed that the Germans would not be able to invade Czechoslovakia without the British Government agreeing with the Munich Appeasement.
