To write inequalities, you use the symbols < > ≤ ≥ depending on the situation
For the first one, it would be x<8 and you would shade to the left of 8 with an open circle at 8. This is because the amount of gallons must be less than 8
For the second one, it would be x≥3 and you would shade to the right of 3 with a full circle at 3. This is because there are at least 3 pieces of bread
