We can  write x=-5 and x=2 so that they are both equal to 0
x+5=0   and   x-2=0
How we can multiply x+5 and x-2 and set them both equal to 0
(x+5)(x-2)=0
Then you distribute to find the equation
x^2-2x+5x-10=0
or
x^2+3x-10=0

Hope this helps
