Do you think Stalin was corrupted by power or that he was naturally a corrupt man?

I believe that to an extent, he was naturally corrupt, but what man isn't? Mainly, he was corrupted by power, especially after World War II. What many don't remember is that Stalin and the Soviet Union were possibly the most important factor in defeating Hitler and Japan! So I believe that Stalin was a slightly corrupted man who was broken into something horrific by letting his power go to his head.
