When driving over long distances, it is advised that a person has to take breaks of 15 minutes for every two hours.

Why does a person have to take breaks while driving?

When a person is driving long distances, they may get to be fatigued and might need rest. Taking breaks helps to increase alertness for the driver.

By so doing they may not fall asleep on the wheel and they would be able to drive better.
