A spring is stretched 0.75 m by using a force of 30 N. What is the spring constant

We can use Hooke's Law:

F = kx or F = -kx

F = force (N)

k = Spring constant (N/m)

x = displacement (m)

We are given the force and displacement, so:

F/x = k

30/0.75 = 40 N/m
