The velocity of the kid is : 0.4 m/sec

Velocity = displacement / time

displacement ( x ) = 5.6 - 1.6 = 4 meters

From the question time value is missing

Assume time taken = 10 secs

The velocity of the kid after jumping from 1.6 m to 5.6 m

we will determine this by applying the equation below

V =  x / t

   = 4 / 10

   = 0.4 m/secs

Hence we can conclude that the velocity of the kid is 0.4 m/s
