The harmful effects crime has on society is, many new laws are created because of the crimes committed. Such as the law where people aren't able to own guns (Not a law but could have been one) this law could be created because criminals have used guns to rob,threaten, or even kill people. Also it has a harmful affect on society because, the more crimes committed the more society turns into chaos, people also begin to feel less safe.
