[tex]f(g(x))=4x^2+16x+13[/tex]

Using substitution, we can substitute the [tex]x[/tex] in [tex]4x+5[/tex] with [tex]x^2+4x+2[/tex]. That gives us the equation

[tex]4(x^2+4x+2) + 5[/tex]

Now using the distributive property, you multiply g(x) by 4. This gives us

[tex]4x^2+16x+8+5[/tex]

If you add 8+5, you get 13, giving us our final equation:

[tex]f(g(x))=4x^2+16x+13[/tex]
