For problem 5, what you want to do is simplify the expression, cross multiply, then solve for e:
2(2/3)e = 1/18
(8/3)e = 1/18
8e/3 = 1/18
(8e x 18) = (3 x 1)
144e = 3
e = 3/144
e = 1/48
You would do the same thing for problem 6:
-1(2/7)m = 6
-(9/7)m = 6
-9m / 7 = 6 / 1
-9m = 7 x 6
-9m = 42
m = 42 / -9
m = -14/3
