Ask them if the person telling the story knows the thoughts and emotions of a character. Also tell them to look at the pronouns being used. If it’s using I, me, etc. then it’s first. I hope this helps!

second- "you" point of view, is told by using terms similar to "you, we, etc."

third- the author is telling the story using terms such as "she, he. they, etc."
