The Muscogee society is a Native American tribe found in the state of Oklahoma. This society is known as matriarchal because the descendants/children in this society are known to belong to the mother’s clan instead of the usual father’s clan in a patriarchal society.

The children given birth to in this clan usually claim the place/country of origin of their mother. The sharing of inheritance also happens between the females in this society.
