The infamous Salem witch trials began during the spring of 1692, after a group of young girls in Salem Village, Massachusetts, claimed to be possessed by the devil and accused several local women of witchcraft.
This happened during 1692, this happened because a group of girls claimed to have been possessed by evil spirits of the devil in which saying this they accused many of their own villagers of several local women to dispose them.
