If you are asking of these two equations would be equal to each other The answer would be false
1st equation 4x+2y=8
2nd equation y=2x+4

Get the first equation in to y=
4x+2y=8
Now you need to get 4x on the other side by subtracting it
4x+2y=8
-4x. -4x

2y=-4x+8
Now divide by 2 on both sides to get y alone
Y=-2x+8

Now compare the equations

Y=-2x+4 is not equal to y=2x+4

ANSWER: false
