Two lines perpendicular to a third line are NEVER perpendicular to each other.

When a line is perpendicular to another, it intersects such that it is 90 degrees turned.
(I'll provide a picture showing what I mean)

If two lines are perpendicular to the same line, that means that those two lines are parallel, since they share the same slope.
