The Nazis gained power in Germany when Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi party, became supreme chancellor, or furer. He promised the people of Germany a better life because Germany had spiraled into a deep depression after being forced to pay for all of the damage done during world war one and for that he was elected.
