the area of a pentagon increased by 27 is the same as four times the difference of area and 15. what is the area of the pentagon?

this can be written as:
a+27=4(15-a)
now to work it out
a+27=4(15-a)
a+27=60-4a
4a+27=60
4a=33
a=8.25
