You can use Pythagorean  theorem to solve this:

     [tex]a^{2} +b^{2} =c^{2}[/tex]

[tex]3^{2} + 4^{2} =c^{2}[/tex]

9 + 16=[tex]c^{2}[/tex]

25 = [tex]c^{2}[/tex]

[tex]\sqrt{25} =\sqrt{c^{2} }[/tex]

c = 5

^^^This means that the length between the two points is 5 units
