Both considered the Soviet Union a threat to freedom. Still Roosevelt was willing to work with
Stalin. Stalin in turn supported the
establishment of the United Nations. In
Truman’s case, he saw a need to increase the role of the United States in
policing the world from the threat posed by Communism.
