Well, there are many ways and all speakers do it differently, but the main ones are as follows: They keep their eyes focused on the audience. They don't move around too much or it'll distract people. They try to make their voices as clear as possible. They use things to their advantage. For example, if you were speaking at a "save the puppies!" campaign, you might talk about all the lost puppies and how sad it makes the world and such.
