We are given the distance between two towns is 2.6cm on a map.

The scale factor of the map is 1cm:50km.

That means 1 cm on map = 50 km actual distance.

In order to find the distance 2.6cm into actual distance, we need to multiply 2.6 and 50.

Therefore, 2.6 × 50

On multiplying 2.6 by 50 we get 130.

Therefore, 130 is the actual distance between the two towns.
