How do you round 64,569 to the nearest thousands

In numbers, the place values from right to left are ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands...

So for your number, the order is
9 - ones
60 - tens
500 - hundreds
4,000 - thousands.

From the place value you're rounding to all the way to the left, the numbers stay the same.
So your answer is 64,000
