The slope of the line of the given points is y=-5x-33

You first subtract them
Meaning y2-y1/ x2-x1. It then becomes 7-2 / -8-(-7). 4/ -8-(-7) . Multiply the negative variables so it becomes -8+7= -1.
Your slope is 4/-1 = -4.
