i'd first express 1 cubic foot in cubic inches. Then divide the original number by that to get the answer:

1 cubic foot = 1 foot x 1 foot x 1 foot = 12 inch x 12 inch x 12 inch = 1728 cubic inch

so 15,552 cubic inch = 15,552/1,728 = 9 cubic ft
