M= change in y /change in x

(−10, 4), (2, −5)

M= -5-4/2-(-10)

M= -9/12

M- 3/4


Slope is - 3/4

answer:  [tex]m = -\frac{3}{4}[/tex]

work:

slope formula ==> [tex]m = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}}[/tex]

plug the points in according to the formula

[tex]m = \frac{-5-4 }{2-(-10)}[/tex]

[tex]m = -\frac{9}{12}[/tex]

[tex]m = -\frac{3}{4}[/tex]  <== simplified, and final answer :)
