15-9=6
9+6=15

The answer is 3.

Let the number is A

Then product of the number and 3 will be 3A

Now,  3A + 6  = 15 (given).  

Hence,  3A = 15 - 6  = 9

∴ 3A = 9    So, A = 9/3 = 3

Answer is 3
