While Ars Poetica can be measured, its lack of rhythmic pattern indicates that it's written as a Free Verse (poetry that doesn't have rhyme or regular rhythm). However, the poem is written in sets of two lines that keep either exact rhyme or slant rhyme between them. Therefore, we can observe that the form of this poem is free verse with couplets.
