By which criterion is a Dental Assistant NOT classified as a DAII?
1. ADA-accredited dental assisting program and current CPR
2. One year academic or longer in an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program and CPR
3. Completion of:
- full time employment and experience as a chairside assistant for 2 years/3,000hrs of the preceding 5, trained under direct control and supervision of a licensed dentist
- 3hr course in sterilization and infection control
- 3hr course in dental emergencies
- radiology training (7hrs of instruction +7hrs clinical)
- current CPR
4. Successful completion of certification examination by the dental assisting national board
