A health food company ships their granola bars to stores across the country using large shipping crates. The granola bars are packed in such a way that the number of bars in each package is half the number of packages in each shipping crate. Additionally, the number of packages in each shipping crate is four more than the number of crates.
The warehouse manager needs to be able to model the total number of granola bars, y, in each shipment. Two members of the warehouse team modeled the situation. One member created an equation and another member created a graph. For both models, x is the number of shipping crates.
