eductive Reasoning:
Example: All humans are mortal. I am a human. Therefore, I am mortal.
In this example, I've used deductive reasoning to draw a specific conclusion based on general premises.
Inductive Reasoning:
Example: Every time I eat peanuts, I develop an allergic reaction. Therefore, I conclude that I am allergic to peanuts.
In this case, I'm making a generalization based on specific observations, applying inductive reasoning to draw a probable conclusion.
Abductive Reasoning:
Example: I hear my alarm ringing, and my roommate is not in the room. I infer that my roommate has already left for work and turned off the alarm.
Abductive reasoning involves making the best possible explanation for a set of observations. In this instance, I've made the best inference based on the available information.
